The company was founded in 1981. In 1999 it was incorporated as JMA Architects Pty Ltd. and the sole principal of JMA is now Jim Hutchison, who is a registered architect and a member of the Australian Institute of Architects.

Jim maintains overall responsibility for the operation of JMA Architects Pty Ltd. Twenty-eight years on, the Company’s approach and quality of services reflect those developed by Jim’s predecessors, the focus remains on providing practical, cost-effective, innovative design solutions and timely completion of projects.
